Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation. Education/Experience: High school diploma field required; 2 years’ experience working with people with developmental and/or similar disabilities if degree is in related field or 3 years’ experience if degree is in an unrelated field. Knowledge of Behavioral Health Standards and funding sources required. The primary duties of this position are directing on-the-job training opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities within the Atrium Health System and adhering to all contractual requirements between Nevins Inc. and Atrium Health as it pertains to cleaning medical equipment at Atrium- Main & Mercy. Physical Requirements Must be able to operate a variety of automated office machines and other equipment (e.g., computers, copier, wheelchairs). Must be able to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally and/or frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Physical demands are more than sedentary work; position requires walking, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, etc. JOB DETAILS Work authorization: United States Not providing Visa sponsorship for this job Job Type: Full-time Schedule: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Friday Hours per week:40Benefits: Available for full-time employeesWork Remotely: No Job Location: Charlotte, NC 28269 Salary Range: 16 per hour Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinates individuals with I/DD onsite observations. Assist individuals with I/DD with maintaining employment. Reviews billing of community employment specialists prior to entering into electronic health record and submitting to the Director of Clinical Services. Assesses the needs, strengths, and preferences of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Ensures the confidentiality of individuals with I/DD, including their records and individual support services provided. Consults with and educates employee/employer (Atrium) on how to work with individuals with I/DD. Monitors and assists work schedules and coverage of assigned individuals with I/DD. Monitors and records incidents and accidents. Monitors community employment specialists providing supervision of individual with I/DD as appropriate. Assists Program Supervisor with collecting progress data for authorization requests. Participates in developing annual person-centered plan in conjunction with the treatment team as appropriate. Attends and participates in all mandated meetings, trainings, professional conferences, and seminars. Maintains professional rapport with all community employment specialists, treatment team members, and stakeholders. Maintains professional contact with families of individuals with I/DD to conduct routine check-ins. Establishes relationships with employers regarding problems, complaints, and progress of individuals with I/DD. Develops and maintains customer (individual with I/DD/parent/guardian) relations. Assists community employment specialists with issues related to individuals with I/DD and work sites. Provides training to individuals with I/DD and staff, as necessary . Responds as needed to behavioral support needs of individuals with I/DD. Operates and/or utilizes a variety of office and other equipment such as copier, telephone, fax, computer equipment, and general office supplies. Responds as needed in emergency situations.
